Clean your bathroom!…WITH A GRAPEFRUIT!

Why would you expose your family and pets to toxic chemicals?? In 2000, cleaning products were responsible for 10% of all reported toxic exposures in the United States to Poison Control Centers. Out of the 206,636 calls recorded, 120,434 involved children under the age of 6. Not only could your child spill or swallow cleaners in your home, they’re bathing in them after you clean your bathtub, drinking them after you clean your sink, and playing in them after you clean your floors and counters.

Toilet bowl cleaners are highly acidic, and often contain bleach. After you scrub your toilet, you place the brush in its holder next to the throne, directly in a crawling toddler’s reach! They’re instantly exposed to bleach, ammonia, and chlorine, which can affect lung and breathing function, eyes, and throat.

Try this easy, cheap, and effective alternative to expensive and dangerous cleaning products!

What you need: 1 grapefruit, ¼ cup coarse Kosher salt…That’s it!

Just cut the grapefruit in half, and sprinkle each half with some of the salt. Wet your bathtub and sprinkle the remaining salt. Use the grapefruit to scrub your shower or bathtub, lightly “juicing” the citrus juices as you go, and lift it every few seconds. You can use the rind on stubborn areas. When you’re done scrubbing, just rinse away the pulp and salt, and voila!

This works on tubs, toilets, sinks, and tiles!
